Formula One
Formula One is perhaps the most glamorous sport in the world. The season lasts from March until October and is held at circuits all over the world every two weeks or so. The events start in the middle of the week culminating in the actual race on the Sunday afternoon. Some of the races are watched by literally hundreds of thousands of spectators as well as millions on live TV.

Rugby
Rugby is played in many countries around the world. Each country has it's own league and then most continents have an inter country league. Then there are international rugby matches.
The main rugby playing nations are England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Many other countries play such as Japan, USA, Canada, Romania, Spain, Fiji and Argentina.

The main Rugby competitions for clubs in the UK are the Zurich Premiership., The Celtic League and The Heineken Cup which is the cup competition for all European clubs.
The Six nations is the inter country competition for England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France and Italy and it takes place during February and March. Weekends away in London, Cardiff, Dublin, Edinburgh, Paris and Rome have become legendary for rugby fans. The cities become awash with rugby supporters and accommodation becomes a premium and a good alternative is to rent a motorhome.

Football
In England the main league is the Premiership and there are three divisions below. There is also the Carling cup and the world famous FA Cup. There are also inter European competitions such as the EUFA Cup and the European Cup.
Countries also play in competitions principally the European Championships and the World Cup. Both are played every four years with two years qualification. The next competition is the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Germany is the ideal location for hiring motorhomes and a motorhome is a really good way of moving around Germany following your team. Wherever the results take them you can follow.

County cricket in England is played during the summer months with a chmpionship and two one day cup competitions.
